For Pilgrims from North Tamil Nadu
Thiruvanaikoil temple is in between two major roads Chennai (Madras)-Trichy by-pass road on East and Chennai (Madras)-Trichy GST (Grand Southern Trunk) road on west. Most of the buses from Chennai enters Trichy through the GST road, so you can get down just few yards before the temple at Thiruvanaikoil. If you are coming on Train you can get down at Srirangam station and take route no.1 bus to Trichy junstion (or) Main guard gate and get down at Thiruvanaikoil bus stop (just 5 minutes from station). Almost all trains stops in Srirangam station.

For Pilgrims from South Tamil Nadu
If you want to come from Trichy Central bus stand, Railway Junction or Chinthamani (Chathram, Main guard gate bus stands) bus stand take domestic bus (Route No.1 mostly) to Srirangam. You can get down right near the Thiruvanaikoil temple's main street (Sanathi street), the temple is few yards away from the Thiruvanaikoil bus stand. You have frequent services for this route. Its a 30-45 minutes journey from Trichy Central bus stand / railway junction.

The temple is situated in the middle of Trichy and Tiruvarangam about 320 km on Chennai and Kanyakumari National highway. Jambukeswarar Temple is well-connected to all nearby foremost places within the state Tamil Nadu or neighboring states by Road network. Thiruvanaikaval is on the old GST road 2kms East of Srirangam and on the Northern banks of the Cauvery.

By Road
Thiruvanaikaval is situated in the middle of Trichy and Tiruvarangam at a distance of about 320 km on Chennai & Kanyakumari national highway. The temple is located 8 km from central bus stand and 3 km from Chathiram bus stand Trichy. Government and private bus service is available to reach Thiruvanaikaval. The city is well connected by road to major South Indian cities like Madurai, Chennai, Pondicherry and Tanjore. Frequent Town buses are available from Main guard gate, Malaikottai and Thayumanavar Theppakulam.

By Rail
The nearest station is Trichy (8 kms) which has 2 train stations Tiruchchirappalli and Tiruchchirappalli Fort. These two connects with towns of South India such as Chennai, Thanjavur, Madurai and Chidambaram.
Auto from Srirangam Railway station to the temple will cost Rs. 40/-.

By Air
Nearest airport is at Tiruchirapalli (15km) which is well connected to cities like Chennai, Bangalore, Madurai, and Colombo.
