By Road When you are going from Hyderabad to Mahanandi by car you need to take the Bangalore road. After crossing Kurnool (210km), you reach Nandyal (210 + 71km). Once you reach Nandyal don't take the bypass road via Bommalsatram (Tirupati highway) but take a Left (You have a SPY Reddy sweet shop just on the right side who make real good sweets) and go into the city. Once your reach the city after crossing the Bridge and the SPY School you get a big x roads take a right and follow the road all the way to Mahanandi.
By Bus Service From Hyderabad, Mahanandi is about 288 kms and takes about 6 - 7 hours to reach by road. There are some private buses that takes you to the temple town or the APSRTC buses, which ply frequently to Mahanandi.
