Significance Lepakshi Temple in Anantapur is dedicated to Veerbhadra Swamy. This temple was built during the times of Vijayanagara dynasty. History Veerbhadra Swamy Temple was worked by the kin Viranna and Virupanna in the midst of 1529 AD - 1542 A.D, who were the chieftains in the court of Achyutha Deva Raya of Vijayanagara dunasty. This asylum is given to Veerbhadra Swamy. Asylums of Shiva, Vishnu and Veerabhadra are arranged inside the haven complex. The monalith Nandi statue, which is at the entry of Lepakshi Town, is of 4.5 meters stature and 8.23 mt length. It is around 200mt from Veerabhadra Swamy Temple. Nandi is arranged such way that it faces Siva Linga inside the asylum complex. Hanging Pillar of Lepakshi Temple is the one of the planning ponders. Among the 70 backbones of the asylum, one hangs with no assistance. Visitors used to check this reality in the midst of their visit.
